 Celestia Ludenburg Wig Review

Hello there my awesome readers! I am back after how many months I guess?  Anyway, I am going to review about my Celestia Ludenburg wig.

First off, Celes' wig is probably one of the most difficult wigs to find (except you would voluntarily style it (and it is a bit tedious).  As I was searching for wigs over at taobao, There were two brands that I chose from, Kucos and Lucaille.

Pro's for Kucos' wig:

1. cheaper than Lucaille
2. larger curls

1. curls are clip-ons
2. wig's quality was already tested by myself

I was in dilemma on what to choose for my cosplay but good thing that Ms. Ying Tze cosplayed Celes and I asked her, what brand did she used in her cosplay and luckily, she was very kind to answer my query.  She used Lucaille.  Then I bought the Lucaille wig.  Attached below is the actual photos of the wigs when I received them.

The clip in the clip-on is pretty cute compared to the regular Miku Hatsune clip-on

The base wig was pretty thick but not very thick and it looks exactly like the reference photo.  The clip-ons were stiff.  It seems that the strands were glued.  In addition, the clip-ons are hard to "destroy" due to its stiffness.

      Overall,  the Lucaille version of Celes is great despite of its expensiveness but its accuracy and quality did not failed me.

Wig review 2

LUCAILLE WIG REVIEW (AKB0048 MAYU WATANABE WIG)

Hi everyone! I am back again.  This time, the wig review that I will be making is Lucaille but the wig is not the ordinary style but it is more like a clip-on type like Miku Hatsune's.  This time, I am using my sister's wig.  The character designed for the wig is for the AKB0048's Mayu Watanabe.  Her color is darker than Miku Hatsune of Vocaloid and pretty short twintails.  Let us now proceed to the review now.

First off, this was one of the wigs that I ordered from Taobao using Taobao Philippines as my agent.  Not familiar about Taobao Philippines? Please do check out my previous blog for more elaboration.

Let us start from the color accuracy.  What I like about Lucaille wigs is they tend to have a minimal color difference between the reference photo and the actual wigs.  The color difference might be caused by their lighting during the wigs' shoot or the monitor settings of indivual's computer.

The lighting is set to automatic.  It is pretty close right?  Like any other wigs, it is enclosed with a zip lock.  In addition, each of the two twin tails are enclosed separately by another zip lock which is very convenient.  In addition, the base wig and the twin tails has its own wig net.  It is to make sure that the strands will not get messy.

Furthermore, Lucaille wigs have tags located in their base wigs.  It prevents you from being tricked of identifying between Lucaille and other wig brands awesome, isn't it?

The base wig is not really that thich but not thin also same goes for the twin tails.  Those were not heavy.  The wig is pretty shiny though but it is okay.  It is so soft as expected from Lucaille.

Would I still buy another Lucaille wig? Definitely, YES! I really like this wig brand.

Taobao Philippines

TAOBAO PHILIPPINES REVIEW

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I posted something new in my blog.  I am really sorry about it.  I can't think of anything to write about.

This time, I've decided to write a review about this Taobao agent, Taobao Philippines (link here: http://taobaophilippines.com/).  First off, what is Taobao?  Taobao is the main place to buy stuff online in China. It’s like eBay, with many independent stores listing their products and shipping directly to you. But these are not bidding auctions. The prices are all fixed ‘Buy it Now’ prices (http://taobaophilippines.com/recommended-purchase-sites/).  Normally, customers outside China cannot directly buy stuffs in Taobao (except for some stores and also, you need a paypal account to perform the transaction) thus, they need a middleman to handle the job. 

Taobao Philippines is one of the agents who caters orders from taobao.  From its name, it primarily caters Filipinos who wishes to purchase stuffs in Taobao.  This is also the agent who is in charge of ordering my wigs for the upcoming cosplay event.

 I would like to commend how they entertain their customers.  They really replied to my queries as fast as possible which is a very good point for me.  They were really patient on guiding me during the whole transaction.  I do admit that I was kind a irritating them for asking them a ton of questions.  I cannot help it.  It is my first time using an agent for my wigs.

Will I still using them for my future purchases in Taobao? Definitely yes!

Alice/Ywailisi Wig Review

Hello once again my dearest readers! As I promised, I will write a wig review about the wig that I used for Weiss Schnee.

Despite from all the some sort of negative comments that I've read about this wig when it comes to very long ones and clip-ons, you might be asking why did I chose this brand? My answer for that is first, is is CHEAPER compared to other wig brands that I used and encounter and lastly, it is LIGHTER (in terms of mass) compared to other brands.  Since I have only 1 clip-on for my character (and it is on the side which is pretty imbalanced), having a light wig might ease the unbalance-ness and have the lesser chance of pulling the wig to the side where the clip-on is located.

Then after a few days, the wig arrived.  Here's the photo of it:

Though there was no cardboard-like that forms into a box in the package, I really liked that the clip-ons and the base wig has different wig nets and each of the clip-ons has this rubber band tied so that it will not get mixed. The color is slightly dark from the reference pic and it has some gray strands

Then I checked the base wig and it is not pretty thick nor thin just enough to cover the scalp.

Then I checked the clip-ons.  The strands were perfectly arranged.

As expected, it's light.

Overall, the wig is smooth thus, it gave me no hassle to comb it.  One of the reason might be that it is still new.  Let's see what will happen in the future.

I do like this brand but I am still open to other brands depends on my budget :D

Makeup Trial for Weiss Schnee of RWBY

HI once again guys! One of the most anticipated cosplay event in my city is fast approaching and I am very hyped up to try out Weiss' makeup since I just received my wig yesterday >___<

The brand is alice or ywailisi.  The design was for White rock shooter but I am only using one clip-on so it's fine.  The bangs were untrimmed.

Are you worried of the wig's quality? Worry no more! I will be writing a wig review for it tomorrow.

Riko Mine

 Organic Compound Project for Chemistry: Riko Mine

Hello once again my dearest readers! I just want to post my project for my Organic Chemistry class *insert a very proud grin here*.  We were tasked to choose any organic compound to "endorse" in our own artistic way.  At first, I was thinking of something sweet.... oh GLUCOSE and I have this Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Ponponpon motif (refer to the video xD) but I don't have such costume so I thought of Riko Mine since she has this  cutesy aura and her lolita-inspired costume xDDD

So hi once again guys! I am here to present my first ever soon-to-be-crafted weapon for my first ever weapon-ed character, Weiss Schnee of RWBY *insert tears of excitement here*

Before that, let me insert Weiss' song here 

Here's the thing, I resized my previous work since it was practically large and it is only meant for the details on her arm guard.  I put them on paper first so that it would be easier for me to resize and make some corresponding corrections.
